A Warm Welcome on the Mats

Today I had the pleasure of dropping in for a training session at MM GYM Vyškov in the Czech Republic, and I have to say, it was a really enjoyable and rewarding experience.

As a martial artist at heart, I'm always keen to connect with fellow martial artists and see how others approach the arts we love.

Training Highlights

During my visit, I joined a BJJ class led by Robin Javorek – his teaching was sharp, detailed, and encouraging, with a real emphasis on practical application and progression.

I had the opportunity to witness impressive boxing work with trainer Hamo Aperyan in the Czech Republic. He is an experienced boxer and coach who has faced notable opponents, including top Czech boxer Lukas Dekys, in exhibition and pro-style matches.

About MM GYM Vyškov

MM GYM is part of the respected Draculino Academy network and affiliated with the Czech Boxing Association, offering solid programmes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, boxing, Muay Thai, MMA, and self-defence.

The focus is clearly on building strong technical skills alongside overall physical conditioning and personal growth.

The True Standout: The Atmosphere

What truly stood out was the atmosphere: welcoming yet disciplined, professional, and authentically friendly.

Instructors and students shared openly – precise techniques, subtle details, and real insights that sharpen the edge for everyone on the mat.

It's the mark of a strong community: no egos, just mutual respect and a shared drive to grow.

More Than Just a Session

In the end, it was far more than a solid session on the mats or in the ring – it was a genuine exchange of knowledge and energy that fired me up with fresh ideas and renewed drive.

I'm genuinely thankful for the open arms, the high-calibre company, and the chance to train shoulder-to-shoulder with such committed, capable practitioners.

Moments like these remind me why we do this: real growth comes from shared sweat and respect, not isolation. Grateful, inspired, and already looking forward to the next one!

Recommendations & Invitation

If you're in the Brno/Vyškov area and looking to level up your BJJ, boxing, or self-defence in a supportive, professional setting, I'd highly recommend giving MM GYM Vyškov a go.

And if you're ever in Malta, come train with us at White Wolf Mudo Ryu – we're building the same spirit of hard work, open sharing, and real growth right here on the island.

Oss and keep training hard! 🐺🥋 To the next one, BUDO! 😊
